I just got warcraft 3, and I think i need to patch before I can watch demos
there's like, 1.02 and 1.03 demos, so I was wondering how I'd be able to watch both.

other dilemma: i'm using a no-cd crack, do I have to reinstall before I can patch?

also, what are some good sites for demos/strats?

i played it once in beta
a friend and i went 2v1 against another friend
and we just rushed him w/ peons

then we went and played quake
 
1.03 is the most current version needed for Battlenet play.
With each patch, you cannot watch replays from previous patched versions.

However, here: http://www.rtscentral.com/war3run_all_versions.asp there is a workaround describing how to run multiple instances of wc3 to allow viewing of replays from different versions.

Can't help you with the cd-crack issue.
