No, I understand he lived, had reconstructive facial surgery, lost some teeth, and has siince fully recovered.
 
if you read the thread i posted above we came to the conclusion that the car was parked and he probably lived. the plastic bumper helped. unless his neck broke. in which case he is probably fucked

It almost looks like he took the brunt of it on his chest/collarbone, which would probably be a good thing for him.
