[T1] tribesFTW w/vista patch.. still not working :(

so i installed tribesFTW, with the vista patch (i'm running 32bit, if that matters)... when i run tribes.exe, the process starts up, theres a momentary pause, then nothing. plz help

You're running Tribes.exe. So I take it you're running the latest HudBot, or you're using the VistaFix mem.dll library?

i tried both the Tribes.exe and T1Vista.exe (it's the same size as your patched exe, so i figured tribesFTW had just renamed it).

after letting the Tribes.exe process run for a good half hour or so, i get "Error allocating memory.Make sure you have at least 120mb swapfile space. Check www.tribesplayers.com (lol) for troubleshooting help"

i'll let T1Vista.exe run out to see if it generates the same error

beyond redownloading the vista patch, i haven't changed anything from the current tribesFTW install

hudbot version is 0.420

which would make the runtime about 15m

That's interesting. I'd suggest trying it with a clean install, and see what happens. Sounds like there may be a conflict.

Try it with the build from: Tribes0.com

It's a simple, unzip install. All you'd need to do is copy the T1Vista.exe over to the base dir, and try it.

that seems to have worked...i can't login to play but it starts up and mouse works, etc
