SYSUPD.exe virus

Does anyone know how to remove the sysupd.exe virus? None of the anti-virus software I've used has been able to get rid of it.

I pulled this from another forum, I have never tried so I can't say whether their method works or not.

Start -> run -> regedit
HKEY Local Machine \software\microsoft\currentversion\run
delete the value of sysupd.exe if it exists.
Download the program at http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ and execute it.
After this, everything should be fine.

I did a quick search of my windows dir for sysupd... nothing.


then I search my registry and get a hit. in a panic I check to see the location and it is the registry part that contains recent search terms.
