Space Shuttle Discovery Launch 1:36am EST

cool haven't seen one since i was a kid

Was just thinkin how when I lived in south florida for a few years growin up, we'd go for a few launches. Saw quite a few go up, including the hubble...

At the time I didn't think it was that big of deal and obviously didn't realize what the hubble was

smart move nasa

build your launch station in the state with the most random daily thunderstorms in the entire united states and act all surprised when you can't launch due to 'rain'

They use the earths rotation to propel them faster into space. Since there's more rotational velocity near the equator, yeah it was smart of them to build it there.
