When I boot up my PC it gets to the POST screen then hangs after the memory check where it would normally search for IDE and SATA drives. I've been using the same setup for 1 and a half years or so now and this is the first problem I've run into. I can't even get into the BIOS.

So far I've tried unplugging the HDDs/DVD drives, removing all my memory sticks except 1 and resetting the CMOS.

Specs are as follows:
Leadtek 7900GTX 512mb
AMD 4200+ dual core
2GB (4x512) PC3200 Corsair
320GB WD HDD
250GB WD HDD
K8N-Pro SLI

If you can't get into the bios either your keyboard is messed, or the mobo is messed.

Standard answer. Take it all apart and put it back together again on piece at a time. Start with mobo, cpu and PS. If it gets past post, add parts one at a time.

I figured it could only be the mobo after removing the rest but just wanted to check, cheers.

Problems with mobo if you can't even get bios.

Picked up a core 2 duo, p35 mobo and some pc6400 today, all is well again for a small price
