So just watched "Spirited Away"

Whats so hard to understand ?

Its a story of human greed and the girls journey to overcome it.

Obviously there is more to it than that, but thats one theme.

Agreed, Spirited Away is most definitely not a "WTF?" kind of movie (unless you're an idiot).

It's a nice little straightforward Alice-in-Wonderland-esque tale about a precocious young girl getting inadvertantly transported to a fantasy world and her struggle to come to terms with how things work and how to get back to her own world...although unlike Alice in Wonderland, Chihiro/Sen manages to bring some semblance of social change to the screwed-up world she ends up in.

It's a very nice movie, and if you didn't enjoy it, I'm afraid I'll have to bite open your throat and spit your blood into the air like a fountain.

Oh, I did really like the movie. It had a magical quality about it that I haven't ever seen in any other movie.

But, it is also the wierdest movie that I have ever seen. Looking back, Mononoke looks a totally normal film.

I had a lot of fun watching this film.
