I like Naruto! Naruto and Trigun are the only ones I'm currently watching once I finish them up I'll start downloading some other stuff. Seen some of the cowboy bebop movie and loved the animation and style but it wasn't too gripping. THe TV eps are better I bet.

Trigun is one of those series you have to see from the beginning, or else you're likely just to be lost. The show starts out relatively lighthearted, and quickly takes a turn for the serious around episode 5.

To summarize:

Vash is a tree with blonde hair. Well, not quite, but he's a genetically engineered, 100-year-old critter called a Plant, an organism that apparently is the ultimate power source of the future.

He's tracking down his evil brother who got the colony ships for the perpetuation of the human race stuck on this desert planet, because while Vash is a nice talking tree and likes humans, Knives is of a decidedly Bender persusasion -- namely, "Kill all humans!" At the same time, Knives sends his freaky henchmen to try and bait out Vash and show him the error of his hippie ways. See the series for full details.

Uhhh, are you sure you want it spoiled? Finding out Vash's history is all part of the enjoyment of watching the series...you don't find out until the later episodes. No earlier than episode 15, if I remember correctly. Maybe even later.

Anyway, if you're SURE you want to spoil the series:

Basically, Vash and Knives(his brother) are humanoid aliens. They're picked up by earthlings on seed ships, traveling the galaxy for inhabitable planets. There are maybe 5 humans awake, piloting the ship, and there are hundreds or thousands of humans in suspended animation waiting to colonize any inhabitable planet they find.

Anyway, Vash and Knives appear to be children when they're rescued by the humans. The humans try to educate the children, taking them into a holodeck type place to try to get them to appreciate life. This doesn't sink in with Knives. It sinks in a little too much with Vash.

Eventually, Knives kills all the humans, and rigs all the colonizing ships in the fleet to crash on a deserted planet. Vash tries to stop him, but can't. They both fly off in an escape pod and crash land somewhere. They have a falling out and separate. Meanwhile, the survivors of the crash landing start to colonize the desert planet.

I think the main story takes place over a hundred years after the crash landing.

It's a pretty good story as far as anime goes. Nothing ground breaking, but not too derivative either. The whole Vash/Knives dynamic is interesting to discover, and the last episode is very satisfying. Finally, an anime without any loose ends.

Whoops. Looks like Ben and I don't have the same explanation for Trigun. He could be right; I haven't seen the series in like 3 years or so. Check it out yourself though...Trigun is among my favorite animes, only ranking behind classics like Bebop, Evangelion, Escaflowne (not Fox butchered) and FLCL.

Definatly. Although this is probably the least I've craved an episode in a while. Not because it won't be awesome, but it's the first time since episode 20 that I've had even a slight break in terms of the story line.

I'm sure 82'll be back to the normal cliff hangers though
