In Sweden, there are two alternatives. Either you equate your website to a print magazine, in which case the owner of the website, or the appointed responsible individual will take the fall for anything published, OR you can choose to fall under a newer legislation, created for BBS's back in the day, where every poster is responsible for what they write.

Now.. unless you're fucking stupid, TW would fall under the latter.


In the USA, with the DMCA or what the fuck you call it, my guess is the legislation is a clusterfuck.

It's been decided in the courts that the owner of a site is not liable for the content created by its users and submitted through its forums.

That's great. We don't yet have a precedent case.. which can be both good and bad.

The only time something like this has ever found its way into court, the web site was that of a newspaper - who naturally had established a "responsible publisher", and treated their webpage just like their paper.
