[Satellite Radio] vs. [MP3 Player]

I'm torn between the 2 as to what I should ask for for X-mas. I'm looking at a Sirius multi-platform model (the kind with the home/car/boombox adaptors for work etc. and a good mp3 player for my car and work. Those that have both or some insight on which is a better deal plz enlighten me.
