Me and the wife decided to go grab an afternoon flight and hang out in San Diego today and tomorrow, which area should we stay in, we do not really want to rent a car...

Ocean Beach area? Harbor? Coronado?

without a car you're going to be pretty much screwed-check that, even with a car this weekend your going to be screwed

if i had to pick one spot i'd say la jolla
 
pacific beach is my fav area, but im single so hitting the waves getting drunk then going to the bars is my favorite thing to do there
 
Think we might be switching to San Francisco..... We normally have a car in SD, don't think I want to hang out around the harbor all day.
 
Id say go to La Jolla for some nicer dining/views/drinks.

Pacific Beach is a good place to smoke a hookah get some decent sushi and drink some beers.

Gas Lamp is fun too.
