Samplers and music modifyers

I've been wondering as of late, what sort of samplers and modifyers do bands such as Radiohead, (mainly radiohead) use to get those crazy effects and diversity? I know the general answer, but if someone could shoot me a link to a product, or something similar that could set me on the trail I would be very greatful.

Guitars, Lots of effects pedals, DDrum electronic drum kit (you can put your own samples in the module)

In other words Radiohead doesn't use any samplers.

I'm pretty positive they do. At the end of the last show i caught Jonny was bent over a small box, with a touchscreen, and numerous buttons, modifying something.

And you think they made idioteque without samplers?

Im sure he has alot of toys to get ideas off of, and Im sure a few songs have drum machine tracks, but the most part on the drum they play them live in the studio and quantise/replace and edit the living shit out of them.

The standard for samplers now adays are the AKAI box's.
