Roof technology

Between the raindrops yesterday I put up another tarp. Had some leaks in this area above the garage.

After the rain I slapped down 12 courses of new shingles

Made a little platform for the compressor.

This gun has been such a treat, so loyal. It's been around over 20 years, and has pushed hundreds of thousands of nails.
Broke the magazine cover last week when a sheet of plywood fell on it. :stab:

Cleaned it up, got the piston cycling fine, fired a few nails and it got stuck again. Tore the head off, and the head valve was stuck. Cleaned and lubed and same thing.

I'm guessing the mangled plastic in the center is important to how the head valve moves, and may even limit travel.

Stupid thing came with a lawyer trigger. I'm not going to pull the trigger each nail. Time to swap that out.

Why are white people so boring. If you were Mexican that tile would be colored like bright orange or purple green anything but Brown.
 
Had to mod the new gun, damn feed door kept popping open :(

The damn latch pin was only fitting into the catch 1/16th of an inch.

I know. Besides being sore all over, I've been getting this hard lump on my left shin from wearing boots all day. It goes away overnight.

Right above the sock/ boot area. Probably just nasty shin splints.

i got one on my right thumb from my old death star 55 solar mass bluepoint impact gun

it doesn't go away

Took today off and went leaf looking. Just about a week too early, but was fun.

Closed cut valley, as recommended by Owens Corning. Same as this but with architectural shingles.

Pain when the toes or foot are bent downwards.
