Republican Senator uses racist slur

In some European cultures, macaca is also considered a racial slur against African immigrants, according to several Web sites that track ethnic slurs.
Last time I checked, Virginia ain't in Europe.

This ranks right up there with people getting upset over Mitt Romney's "tar baby" analogy.

whether it was meant to be racist or not, it's kinda the equivelant of pointing to a japanese guy and calling him "Chang" or something.

or maybe calling a filipino "Jose"

Ever hear Ted Kennedy say redneck? Close enough....

BTW, every other word out of Johnson's mouth was "n1gg3r"

i enjoy machaca burritos from the local mexican lunch cart about once or twice a week

do you pronounce macaca the same way as machaca, or is it different

i'm not up to date on my european slurs for africans

oh shoot

we call black people 'porch monkeys' all the time

i thought this was some new slur or something

wow, what an idiot...

i can respect that a lot of people just arent AWARE of words and history, and are just insensitive out of ignorance. but he's a politician... he has no excuse.
