Pumpkin beer marinade, yay or nay?

I'm interested in this too. I have never even had a pumpkin beer. I can't think of any type of food to use pumpkin beer in though. Even a beer batter doesn't make sense.
 
What if it was a beer batter for some kind of deep fried holiday concoction? Some kind of fried deal that you'd sprinkle powdered sugar over, or something like that. Something with a pumpkin chocolate surprise in the middle. Or deep fried pumpkin cheesecake. That sounds delicious
 
I thought about that. But that's not real food. That's state fair crap.

I mean, maybe apple fritters, but I don't know how a beer batter would hold up. And then I wonder if you could just use hard apple cider instead.
