[PS3] Stopping reading discs : (

I'm about to choke a bitch. I was watching some NetFlix then when the show was over, it said "Invalid Disc". Now it won't read any DVD or game. It's about 4 years old.

Should I:
A) Try to open it and see if I can "fix it"
B) Smash it, then go to Walmart and buy a new one.

Obviously the disk drives at Netflix HQ just sploded. Once they unsplode them you will be okay.
 
google it. i believe it's just the blu ray player and you can replace it easily. i think it's the sensor in there or whatever.

same thing happened to me, i got a free replacement under warranty.
 
nice 4 years, you can't hurt anything by trying to fix it yourself, well not more than it is broken. I would just buy a new one if I could.

Ya I just bought a new one. I'm going to open it and if I can fix it, I'll just return the new one.
