This is my current plan from EvEmon, based on finishing up some half-trained skills and the short term goal of cov-ops. Obviously derednought is going to take a LOT longer than I originally thought so I'm erasing that from the plan for now to concentrate on basic drones, engineering, weapons and elite frigs. Also curious to see what other people are working on.

I'm sure there's a ton of gunnery skills/missile skills that I'm going to need to add to this plan so let me know what you guys see missing, :)

It should... EVEMon is set to automatically update your character every hour, and will remove skills from your plan as you finish them. If you imported your character from an .xml file, then this might not be the case.

Here's what I'm working on at present, obviously some skills will be juggled for timing purposes, but the goal is generally to finish off the large rail spec i just got done grinding to, get another level in gallente BS, finish off my EW skills so I can fit t2 jammers, and then get to force recons. After that I have to decide if i want another racial cruiser V or, I calculated that it would be 29 days for me to get the 2 racial frig V's i'm missing and the small projectile and energy weapon specs to III so I can fly any frigate in the game... who knows what i'll want to do in 45 days

I wont post the evemon log, but here's the general idea... (i do wish i had a log of what ive done in my first month without going through evemail)

- raven training (4.5 days left)
- torpedos, cruise and dps training (8 days)
- heavy nos, webber, warp scram and tracking disruption (1 day)
- dps, shield resists/extenders 2/harderners 2/booster 2 (11 days)
- learning skills to 5 (1 month)

Things i may snatch along the way: drone 4/5, refining skill, badger 2, BCU 2 and probes.

This means about 20 days until im really at standard skills for proper Raven setup. After that, i intend to go back to training Learning skills. After that? We'll see.

There is no heavy PvP duty for me for at least 2 months, although i'll be capable of proper tackling and recon in a vigil/rifter.

I'd suggest doing cruiser V, you will be happy once its done, more than that little bit of speed.
 
Plan: able to afford PvP...all I can eat PvP plan...

Goal: increase revenue by increasing isk earning capability or reduce cost (build my own, including refiing skill, production, and research skills for bpo/bpc).

So far...I've dabbled in all of them and due to real life schedule issue, I think I'm heading more towards decrease cost to myself :(

I don't know, training to refining eff. lv 5 will take about 22 days I think, plus production efficiency to lv 4, etc. I'm looking at about a month worth of training just so I can melt my own loot pertty well. I got the research skills covered already, just need to get isk to buy some cruiser or tackling frig bpo. If any FREEE/Triba people is interested in this, maybe we can pool our resources together, I don't know.

I still don't know if I am going to mine or rat in 0.0 since I am hearing mixed answer on which one is better. Traiing refining up will help either way (in melting loot or refining ores) but more so for mining so..not terribly sure about that.

In the mean time, I am going to finish getting 5 research agents all working and train up connections, etc. to lv 4 to boost my RP/day.

After this, there's nothing really. I've maxxed out most things to 4 save for 2 navigation skills and medium speccing.

Im not sure where Im going, guess that's why HAC 5 is training.

My RL schedule is total crap...I go 4-5 days without having ANY leisure time. I don't even have time to work on homework for college.


But yea, on my playtime, I'd be willing to help you with w/e. I'm going to get RE 5 soon anyway, so I'll get scrapmetal processing too and melt your crap down for you. I'm going to get PE 5 eventually (15 days for each skill...gonna buy an implant soon prolly) and one of my goals while in FREEE is to be the corp blacksmith. If you get the BPC and the zyd and mega, I'll make your stuff for you, cheap. Below market price for the minerals. (I'll be able to supply my own zyd and mega and other mins once I get to 0.0, but I'm thinking that might not happen for another month; until I can actually devote more than a day a week to EvE.)

It's really a waste of time for a PVPer to get RE 5 just for the scrapmetal refining skill.

Go for Recon Ships next.

I'm far from a pro, but i think the answer simply is: it depends.

I have no reason to believe you can make even a fraction of the money ratting that you can from mining if you invest the time/training into it.

Of course, if you can crush battleships and even shadows with ease and with speed, then scan all containers for top qual stuff... you can make some really damn good cash, esp with rare drops. I assume people can make a small fortune from ratting in quick time, with good skills and a good ship. But if you put the same amount of training into mining then i think mining is still gonna be raw gravy in comparison. It jsut comes at a steep trade-off, it seems.

I personally want more understanding and guidance on this exact matter, cuz im really tired of investing time into mining. I'd rather be ratting and trading. Although im also considering buying a decent miner and using that char to grind cash. I dont mean a completely tweaked out uber-miner as much as one that is cheap (i.e. <2m sp or something) but can still bring in great cash.

If i understand it right, you can perhaps be comfortably pulling in like 20m an hour with a decent miner... without much hassle. I just don't want to waste more time training for it =(
