Paraphrazing a Quote

Trying to paraphrase this quote, but its giving me a bit of trouble:

"Young men are fitter to invent than to judge, fitter for execution than for counsel, and fitter for new projects than for settled business" (Francis Bacon)

All I got so far is this: Wisdom and respect stem from old age and experience.

Any other ideas?
