[OFN?]Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" to become HBO Series?

It would be great if Gaiman would write the scripts. He's one author who's very open to the idea of changing his work to better suit movies/film.

holy crap, I have never heard of playtone before, but apparently their miniseries work is:

The Pacific
John Adams
Band of Brothers
From The Earth To The Moon

:jawdrop:

Am I the only person who thought that book was an uninspired, steaming pile of shit?

Everyone I know seems to like that book, but I just can't connect with it.

I even tried reading it a second time, just in case I had been in a bad place the first time around ... no dice that time either.

Weird, because based on the premise of the book, I really SHOULD have liked it. Just didn't do it for me.

i haven't read it yet. i'm assuming from your review though that there is no homo eroticism in it.

Maybe just the authors style of writing. I know I've read books where they should have perked my fancy but just didn't because of the style of writing.

I loved Stardust, though I never read the book.

Here's to hoping I simply enjoy Gaiman's work as screen adaptations.
