[MMORPG]World of Tanks

SPG's aren't noobtanks. SPG's are heavily dependant on the team. If your team sucks you'll be swarmed in no time.
Positioning yourself is also not always that easy. Specially in the city maps there are alot of noobs shooting at the house infront of them or hitting roofs of buildings near the target because they don't keep distance.
You'll start with a 24% crew to so you won't be hitting much either. The amount of info you get is also significantly less then with your startank because you aren't in range of the battle untill it gets really hot.

I keep telling him to try it... but he refuses.

Yes... because it's no coincidence that the "Bison" is so popular and racks up the majority of kills, often carrying their entire team.

Must be because the best of players choose that tank in the Recruit battles. Wouldn't have anything to do with the "easy mode" mechanic the game uses.

in noob (recruit) games, the people frequently don't know to use cover, and they don't keep moving.

I'd also suspect that people from standard games are using recruit games to make credits faster.

The low level SPG's can't 1 hit kill anything other than light tanks in standard mode. You're more likely to die from a medium or heavy tank. SPG's are also really slow to level.

As you move up the SPG ladder, it becomes progressively more expensive to fund an SPG (as with all tanks) but the cost of shells for an SPG is so insane that if you miss at all, you take a big loss in credits.

Not to mention that people in standard games actually go for the arty.

The setup is designed to make running heavy tanks/SPG cost more credits to run which either means you have to buy a premium account, or you have to not suck, or you have to keep smaller tanks around to earn credits in order to run your big tanks/spg's.

Yeah standard totally negates bison rape, although you can make great money in standard games with a bison since you can rain down hits on high level targets (even if they dont die)

i made a AT-1 and it owns in recruit games, just use cover and bisons dont do shit

Looks like they added the ability for 2-3 tanks to join a game together in an upcoming patch. Also, sign in with your beta account on the forum in order to see the complete changelog:

Or keep moving. STG's need to lock on for like 5 seconds before they can get an accurate hit. Following a target counters the lock.

probably not since this is EU beta. They will probably have US servers sometime in the future if things go ok I guess?

In their forum they said they were adding a lot of US clusters and planned to continue doing so in the future, but who knows
