A military bomb crashed into a Tulsa building late Thursday night, knocking out a nearby apartment wall and power to the apartment complex.

The incident happened at the Canyon Creek Apartment complex at 51st and Lewis.

The bomb was discovered when a couple returned to their apartment Thursday night.

An investigation into a dummy bomb lost from an Oklahoma Air National Guard jet over Tulsa continues.

The bomb crashed into an apartment at 51st and Lewis Thursday afternoon. News On 6 Reporter Dan Bewley says the 22-pound non-explosive training bomb landed in the bathroom of an apartment of the complex.

The resident of the apartment, Jeremy Isbell was not at home at the time and discovered the bomb when he returned home Thursday evening.

The Air National Guard has issued a news release concerning the incident.

TULSA AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Okla. - At approximately 2:57 pm yesterday an F-16 fighter aircraft departed the Tulsa Air National Guard Base in route to Smokey Hill Gunnery Range in Salina, Kansas on a routine mission. Shortly after takeoff a BDU 33, a practice non-explosive training bomb weighing approximately 22 pounds, inadvertently released from the aircraft. A safety investigation board was convened and an investigation is ongoing.

The Oklahoma Air National Guard is thankful that no injuries or loss of life happened as a result of this training incident. We are responding and working alongside other state partners to determine the facts of the incident.

and i doubt the pilot "accidently" released it, it could of been put on the plane wrong by munitions or the parts that hold it to the plane could of failed. After the pilot spent an hour whipping around during his training putting gforces on the aircraft and everything attached to it it came loose/something failed and it fell off the aircraft
