If this result holds this would be a 19 point swing.
Republicans won the election (good job!) but only because they had a 30 point head start. If this election was in a purple district/state it'd be a D blowout based on those margins.
No one wins national or state elections based on solid red/blue states. You never see Vermont or Alabama swing an election, or congress, or the senate. It's states like Florida, Virginia, Ohio..
So seeing a 19 point swing is big.
Republicans had the same swing in their direction prior to Trump. They picked up seats and state races like crazy. That's done now.
