[long hard tubes] astronomy?

i've posted twice tonight about space related stuff and it got me wondering who else here is into astronomy...

i've got a small 5 1/2" reflector on a EQ6, and a meade DSI so i can (attempt) to take some photos.

plus there's the planetary symbols that are tattooed down my back
 
I don't have the cash to spend on a "good" scope atm. The last one I had (some meade thing) only made dots appear as slightly bigger blurry dots, needless to say I didn't use it much.

EDIT: Oh and the bugs around my place are reallllllly overwhelming. They don't do any bug spray, I live right behind a cattle farm, and regularly have "critters" (raccoons & opossums) eat my cats food at night. So it's not exactly pleasant outside at night

my scope isn't much to look at either.. but you can push it with the proper additions. i got a 3x barlow to boost my magnification, and built a step-down gear assembly out of lego to act as a micro-focuser. those two things alone let me see jupiter in all its glory.
