it hit the pole, then hit behind the poles but hit the post that keeps the field goal up.....but bounced back to the field. it was obviously in, however the refs weren't clear about that and i believe ruled it a miss....half the ravens went back to the lockroom - upon review they said it was good (it was)

Phil Dawson kicked a 40something yarder and it hit the left upright near the top and bounced down and hit the support extension (the pole that comes up from the ground and curves.. it hit the curved part) and bounced back into the endzone. So it was good but it bounced the wrong way and everyone was confused.

They claim wrong as the NFL has already said that it was a reviewable call because the ball hit something beyond the uprights.

NFL rules are dumb as shit sometimes. This will undoubtedly cause them to change the rule about reviewing field goals. If I were to guess, they'd say you can't review a field goal because if it's made or not is a judgment call.
