[Jobs] fired/laid off?

we had layoffs for the 1st time in company history, thankfully I don't make enough so laying me off wouldn't really help them at all
 
Actually just signed my offer to start work at PE firm in downtown Manhattan when I graduate. I am a lucky lucky man.
 
i got laid off a few weeks ago

i work in the oil and gas industry, fucking price of gas gone to the shitter :(
 
Almost every industry is eating shit, and small businesses are getting fucked. Who the fuck knows what the real unemployment rate is, but it's most definitely sky rocketing.
 
I have a tentative offer on the table right now and I am just waiting on clearance. At this point they have invested alot of time and money into me so I hope that I wouldn't just get an ax....plus its a government job so unless Obama decides to cut the department of homeland security I don't think i have anything to worry about.
 
We just hired a bunch of help for the holidays. Luckily people will always need to buy food. (no not fast food)
