I don't understand how this guy has a show. I've seen snippets of his monologues on politico, and he has decent writers, but he can barely deliver a line and he has no stage presence. I just watched him interview somebody and he was terrible.

Does he have some secret redeeming quality?

I think it has to be his personality and work ethic or something because the criticism is correct.

Lorne basically hand selected him for the job and I've never heard a single bad thing about the guy.

His impressions are actually really solid, and The Roots are the best house band anything could possibly have.
