Jane' s Addiction...

Strays is absolutely amazing. Probably the best album I have heard in years. Given the amount and variety of music I listen to in a year, that is really saying a lot.
 
AIC is dead on the water without Janes. God some people's inability to grasp roots and levels of influence in the music they listen to bugs the shit out of me. Get a fucking clue. I loved Layne and company, but they couldn't have done jack shit without emerging on a scene post Soundgarden, Janes etc...

jane's addiction rules. They're one of my favorite bands. For a good laugh, get a hold of the "Gift" video that Perry Farrell's g/f at the time did. It's pretty cool.
 
Jane's Addiction are washed up and terrible live. Sean and I saw them (free radio station tickets - we didn't PAY) in Vancouver and Perry was so fucked up you couldn't understand him. It was incredibly lame. They had a bunch of distracting topless chicks and hoop-twirling guys but it didn't make up for how bad they are.
The only good parts:
Stereo MCs opening (awesome)
Dave Navarro playing a solo song
Laughing at the hippy trance dancers behind us

To much Heroin does that to your music talents.

Early JA fucking rocked though. I didn't like Porno for Pyros that much, and the new JA just plain sucks.
