bochy's a joke. he was going to face the 8-9-1 hitters in the 8th as well. give the kid one more inning at least. 117 isn't that many pitches.
 
He had 9 in a row, and would have had 10 (thus tying the MLB record) if the 1st base ump actually paid attention. He had 2 strikes and the guy went around on a check swing, they appealed to first and the ump responded with a blank stare for like 5 seconds, then finally signaled ball.

Peavy just laughed it off though because he's a badass.

Btw Bochy isn't the Padres manager anymore, Bud Black is.
