i like it, huge upgrade over my 16gb 1st gen ipod touch

retina display is beautiful
fast processor
angry birds is addicting

yeah the new ipod are good for mp3 players. the 160gb classics are cheaper if you want space instead of apps and shit
 
I read in online reviews that the 2 cameras on the iTouchn suck ass compared to the iPhone ones, the processor is slower than the iPhone's, and the retinal display is a lower resolution.

If you weren't after those features then I say go for it.
