Intel Centrino 2.0Ghz Comparable to...?

I just ordered a laptop with an Intel Centrino 2.0Ghz. Can I compare this to a Pentium 4? And if so, at what speed?

well first off the centrino is NOT a processor

it's a collection of 3 things. The pentium 4m processor, the 85x series chipset and 2x00 series wifi card.

It isn't comparable to a P4, it is a P4, running at 2ghz.

Except its a mobile P4, so it uses a lot less power. That means more battery life.

Wrong. The Centrino is a collection of three things, but the processor is NOT a Pentium 4 M. It is a Pentium M. It is new architecture, I believe called Banias. Google that.

the 2.0 ghz pentium M is "dothan". it performs comparably to a 3.0+ghz P4.
