Well, the iPod works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. Last I heard USB 1.0 was backwards compatible, it was just a ton slower than USB 2.0.
Her computer tells her the iPod is corrupt and must be formatted to use with Windows. I hit restore, and it gives me some mumbo jumbo about not being able to access the volume. The first time I went over to her house, it was working just fine...Two days later she calls me to tell me that it's not working again.
I tried upgrading to SP2...didn't work.
Tried upgrading many different types of VIA 2.0 USB upgrades...didn't work.
Hoping that the iPod WAS corrupt, I hooked it up to my computer, and it worked just fine, 100%.

You can buy USB 2.0 port cards for $20 bucks.
I will most likely recommend that. We sell 'em at Wal-Mart.

Skyler, do people ask you to fix their computers for them? Or do you offer?
My father in law had his own homebrew computer service for money on the side. He then started his own company doing mobile X-rays for the greater Texoma area...He really isn't able to run his own business, work for his own business 24 hours a day...His computer clients keep calling him with issues, and so he's asked me to help. I get all profit of course, but to maintain his client base.
