Like always, I waited until midnight under a 100 year old blooming cherry tree for the arrival of the Great Valentine.
When he did arrive, we built a fire from unsent valentines, love letters, and marriage proposal drafts, then made smores from expired boxes of Valentines Day candy.
He then gifted the faithful with returned engagement rings, jewelry, and wedding gifts. We then sang the J. Giles Band song "love stinks," and toasted with unused wedding champange and date wine.
I got a 1.5 carat diamond ring, a silver "friends forever" necklace, and a monagrammed 72 piece silver setting. Not bad.
