[HELP] Download problems

No one looks in TW Tech anymore ...

Since yesterday, all my downloads freeze ~30 seconds in. I'm running XP, nothing has changed. Is this an ISP problem that I need to call about?

We're gonna need a lot more info than that.

Start posting system specs and ISP info and how this came about...
 
the only thing that's changed is that i have a new hard drive

is it possible that the hd could be the problem?
 
i can't get sp1 because i can't download it :)
i did manage to get the new drivers for the NIC but they dont seem to be helping
 
The new hard drive must be low on liquid nitrogen. Smooth the outside with sandpaper.

Actually, could you be any more specific than "stops after 30 seconds"?
 
yeah ixi ... the download will go from say, 200Kb/sec to ... 0. it just stops. it zooms along for anywhere between 15 and 30 seconds, then just stops.

Bah. Take a screenshot. :hrm:

Then go to the device manager and pull up the properties on your NIC, Advanced tab, and tell me what your setting for Media Type is.
