[Halp] Stupid laptop...

I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 that I got for Christmas last year that I'm having problems with.

I did some msconfig'ing because the laptop is full of bloatware bullshit and the touchpad scrolling stopped working.

I couldn't figure out which process made that feature work, so I re-enabled EVERYTHING. Still not working.

Anyone have an idea on how I'd get it to work again?

Who honestly uses the touchpad scrolling feature? use the arrow keys.

Try downloading and re-installing the synaptics touchpad driver again from the compaq website

I have my touchpad disabled, because that shit is too annoying even if, or especially, when it works.

check the control panel for touchpad config settings, you might have disabled features with your msconfig tweaking.

I dont use a compaq I have a lenovo but I've always put my hand over the right side of the keyboard and use the arrow keys in combination with the pgup/pgdown and home/end keys to do my scrolling.. certainly not the touch pad

this laptop sucks and its uncomfortable to use the arrow keys. it feels much better to just use the scroll pad.

i got it working again by re-installing the drivers. thanks everyone.
