[Grammar Lesson] Commonly misspelled words

Shade

Veteran X
Thanks to TW grammar Nazis over the years, I was able to correct the spelling of some words that I always thought I spelled correctly. I notice some people still spell some of these wrong, so here they are:

convienence --> convenience
seperate --> separate
suprise --> surprise

Feel free to add more, and thanks Nazis.

I often used to misspell separable as seperable but after working with so many countable dense subsets I've got the spelling right now.

judgement -> judgment (judgement only if you're not American)
grammer -> grammar
watermellon -> watermelon :rofl:

i spell it how it sounds, how it should be in the case of a logically designed language
The problem with that is that our language was not logically designed.

The exact origins vary depending on who's yelling the loudest, but there are clear germanic, french, latin, and greek influences. There has been the inclusion of words from a great many languages, including japanese and spanish. It's very much a piecemeal language.
