Got Dent in my hood

Someone banged into my car the other day when I left it overnight downtown. I was being a responsible person and left it because I had been drinking.
Its a small dent, anyone have a good plan to remove it other than the dent repair places that charge $150 for what I could basically do with a plunger?

i had a pretty decent sized dent on my trunk lid and it slightly raised the metal further along the line or whatever

a dude came to my house and took out the dent & hammered down the raised part for $50
