Good Windoze Email and IRC server programs?

On 2k server, right now I'm running Exchange Server for email and I have no irc server. ES is overly complicated and a hassle to keep secure and I would like to have something simpler but powerful enough to run a real-deal smtp and pop server with unlimited accounts and will also serve to send out emails from the system (i.e. from backup software, website, etc.) I ran previously Internet Anywhere email server, which was nice and simple, but a hassle to protect against remailers without crippling its functionality.

Ideas?

Same for IRC server software? I don't want to fool with the java garbage.

UnrealIRCd > * for IRC servers.. i belive you can run it in cygwin.. but its mainly meant for linux. Give it a try, use that and Epona for your services
