going to NYC hotel info needed

heading to NYC with my girl, can anyone suggest a decent hotel around park ave that's decent, as in price and appearance and all that. thanks.
 
I've stayed at the Millenium hotel near the UN (Midtown East I think they refer to it) for 250 a night and recently right in Times Square at the Crowne Plaza for 300 a night. Those are both after taxes (the figure we split).

Both of those are double queen bed rooms (I was with other people) and I would stay at both again.

Priceline both times.
 
Or you can do what i did , just rent an apartment for the week. I only paid $300 for mine 2 weeks ago. Or if you wana pay $300 a night goto The Marriott or The Westin.
