Oil shale alone has enough for nearly 3 trillion barrels of oil
Canada and Venezuela have oil sands roughly equivalent to the total reserves of the world's crude oil
Only part of Canada's oil sands are really economically viable right now. Even the good parts of it - every 4 barrels of oil extracted requires a fifth barrel.
And only something like 5% of every barrel extracted of Venezuelan oil can be used for gasoline, so the numbers are a bit misleading.
But it's nothing to be worried about. We have lots. We have proven backup methods if we somehow haven't managed to come up with viable alternatives before it runs out.
