Combat is difficult to get used to, but the way they have it set up makes for some nice smooth combo's if you invest in the skill trees right.

Once I started going spear i started progressing faster

Make sure you take the skill that lets you do the ki boost when dodging, because it actually triggers the ki boost on dodge. So you can play DS style and hit the boost every time.

I'm leaning more towards the magic and spirit builds. Picked up a sword that converts my spirit into attack damage, and two armor pieces that convert my magic into defense. Fire is OP

The sloth talisman makes every boss fight trivial as well.

Btw get the second level regen spell even if it's the only spell you get.

Water blob boss is the first real brick wall I've hit. His animations are easy to figure out, but he one hits you if it does land. Btw he's weak to fire.

I loaded this up and found it weird to play that Tower of London mission and then actually reach the start of the game.
