Fortnite

Yeah im on PC. thats the only way cross platforms can speak to each other. I played with both PS4 and Xbox friends just fine. We still need to test if they have both join my lobby though.
 
There is no 'win' to rust. Its spawn, get clubbed with a rock while naked, spawn, run, get shot by someone who's been playing so long they have built guided missiles, spawn...fuck all my stuff i built is raided, get clubbed by a naked with a rock, spawn...fuck..server reset, start from scratch
 
I hate building, and Rust is slow and boring as shit

only reason I'm playing FN is because it is hard as fuck to get good, and very satisfying when you start to get there, and I've always liked that kind of game :shrug:
 
I've found if you want to get kills and you suck at building, you need to start attacking from a distance. Also the reticles for every weapon is different. running/moving while shooting pretty much guarantees you'll miss. If you stop, and let the reticle settle and get small, you're pretty much dead on for accuracy. Pistols can get one shot kills from distance but are hard to aim (for me at least). Don't be in a hurry to get to the fight. Look around for good weapons. A scar a shotgun and a sniper rifle will do you right. But an m16 will do well to at a distance. Silenced weapons let you dink people and they don't get the direction marker so they don't know where the shots are coming from.

Start with the rifle and start plinking them and watch the colors of the hit numbers.If they have shields on, the hit point numbers will be blue. when they go white they are out of shields. You only have 100 of each.

Its even better with a team. When you come up against a bob the builder, you can have teammate apply pressure while you advance. I've also got quite a few kills letting people build their big honkin structures, and they have very little anchoring so they get way up then you crater them just by knocking out a wall or 2 and dropping the whole structure
 
finally got my first solo W on a 6 kill game. i was getting the yips every time id get down to the final 3 and fuk something up bad.

i understand the end game a lot better now.

If you all want tribes and fortnite, now is the time. They have LTM (limited time mode) of jetpacks and rocket launchers. You fly above people and hit them with rockets from above. Energy mgmt does come into play here as the jetpacks only work for a limited amount of time, and fall damage is a big factor.

pretty fun actually
 
Dude, I've been loving it. Totally owned my 12-year-old son for the first time in Fortnite (he usually kicks my ass).

Jfc I'm playing against my 12 year old cousins too. Hella fun. Also quite addicted to surviv.io lately for quick fun at work
 
I think the 12 year old kid getting you into fortnite thing might be a trend? My 12 year old nephew made me download it on ps4 when he was over here and now I play it all the time on pc..

fortnite is like the retirement home of gaming.

except your family can't afford to put you in a good retirement game, so they bring you home to their game to game with their kids.
 
my wife's nephews and nieces play on my pc and they are trbl

ive got like an hour or 2 in the game and i usually get a few frags then die
