Family dog put down today

Sorry to hear this news man. We lost our dog last year right before Thanksgiving and it was a very sad event. The new pup we have reminds us quite a bit of the other dog...has some of her mannerisms etc. Even likes the same spot in the bedroom.

Sad news. Condolences man.

I've always been conflicted on that.

If I was injured and someone found me I'd want them to take me to a hospital, not "put me out of my misery" or "end my suffering".

If I ever have to put my animals down I'll do it because I can't afford to spend thousands to only slightly extend their lives, not because I'm taking some moral high road. If money wasn't an object I'd opt to attempt to save them every time, but that isn't realistic. :(

People don't really understand the compassion of why they're putting down the animal. They're told they should do it, but complain and draw it out.
