ECS K7S5A CPU Sensor problem

I recently purchased a ECS K7S5A v1.0 motherboard and am using a 2100+ in it but the cpu temperature sensor doesn't seem to be working. The cpu temp in my bios always displays -55C. I've flashed to the latest bios, but it still won't work. The case temperature works fine. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

ECS K7S5A
XP 2100+
512MB PC133

Yea I know its a cheap board, I'm starting to have heat issues ( I think) so it would be nice to know the cpu temp.

Basically, there is an issue with this board where they used double sided sticky thermal tape to attack the chipset heatsink--you can remove it, use thermal paste, and glue it back on if you want.
