Who Replied?Depending on which state you live in, it may be illegal to stop you, as long as it doesn't cause undo damage.
Its illegal according to FCC but you can not put it on any "public" part of the apartment, which the roof is considered. The only place you can put it is in places that are not considered public parts of the building, examples:
Put a 5gallon bucket with concrete and a wood pole and screw it down to that (What I did).
Put it on top of a BBQ thats filled with Concrete (Next door did that)
As long as its not attached to the building itself they can not by law tell you no, they can tell you that you can not break through the wall for the wire though which means you will have to build a wood/metal contraption to keep the window open enough for the cable but not enough for a burgler to get in.
