There is a very active alumni organization focused on removing the current board of trustees for removing Paterno without examining the facts at all.

I know most of this thread is trolling but, he should not have been fired so quickly without even hearing all the facts of the case first, and even still, the board could have had the balls to do it in person, instead of over the phone.
