Clinton supporters... Are you still voting for her?

it's xenophobic (not to mention retarded) to say shit like "we gotta stop letting Muslims in, and we're going to put the ones that are here on a register!

that's basically playing right into the hands of terrorists and helps create more radicalized kids

even if you hate Hillary and the status quo passionately, do you really want someone that stupid as PRESIDENT OF THE USA? ;O

did u consider ur move to a predominantly White country xenophobic or White flight?

Please tell me more person that doesn't live in the country. I value your opinion on things that will decide the future for myself and kids.

I wouldn't try to tell you anything

judging by your posts in this and other threads your kids are fucked no matter what

to quote a wise man: "if you're a dumb cunt, and your partner is a dumb cunt, guess what your kids are?"

Except you do. You're here in these American political threads more than anybody.

And you shouldn't throw stones, judging by your posts in various threads I doubt you know what it's actually like to be a parent.

it's probably impossible for people who spend their entire lives obsessing about race to fathom, but that stuff never crossed my mind at all

my gf is a kiwi and girls like to be near their parents when they have kids it seems  that's all there is to it

also where I live now there are way more scary minorities than where I lived in the uk, so if I was trying to run from race I did it wrong...

#1) It's not Xenophobia. Sure there are some people who are like that, but the vast majority just want tighter security along borders, and increased screening. It's wasn't xenophobic to screen for lice or disease. It wasn't xenophobic when Obama blocked Iraq refugees from entering the US in 2011. It's not xenophobic to question why large groups of immigrants whose mouths I feed, whose children I educate, whose healthcare I provide, whose homes I pay for, are waving other countries flags and shouting Fuck America. It's a rational response. If you don't like or want to embrace American values, you can fuck back off to whence you came.

#2) Sure there are positives to immigration, but I want people who want to be here and who wish to embrace our way of life (while still honoring their heritage). However what is impossible to ignore is that Terrorist acts have increased 1000% since 2003. George W. Bush poked a hornets nest when he invaded Iraq, and Hillary's Syrian actions knocked the nest completely over. We went from 3,000 terrorist related deaths per year, to 35,000 deaths per year (which incidentally is more than the gun death total in America that everyone seems to froth at the mouth over). It is not fearmongering or irrational to think that people coming from the region creating the most chaos might be or have ties to terrorist elements. It isn't xenophobic to have concerns that bringing in large swaths of unscreened foreigners who don't really want to be here, or have no intentions of integrating, might be detrimental. It's very easy to label it xenophobic or racist, but then again you're probably not living in the inner city slums where they're being dumped and have no fear of being gang raped either.

#3) We clearly have different definitions of the world "well".

Your statements make a lot of sense, and are perfectly reasonable. If you were running, I'd vote for you. You are not running though, a loud mouthed reality TV star is.

My issue is your paraphrasing is NOT what Trump is saying. He blames the "Mexican" judge in his case (born in Indiana) for bias. He blends Muslims and Mexicans all together (all brown, right?) when they are very, very different. He doesn't want better border security, he wants a giant concrete wall. He doesn't want to limit refugees from dangerous countries, he wants to ban an entire religion from entering the country. This is 1) impossible and 2) pretty much pissing all over the 1st amendment.

You are taking nutty Trump speak and making it rational. You're rational. Trump is not.

Oh look, an airplane. Here come the Mexicans right now!

#1) your post indicates a fear based knee jerk response as opposed to thinking rationally about the subject of immigration. our screening of immigrants is already extreme and lots of good, productive immigrants are left in limbo or sent home because of our immigration policies. a simple google search will tell you that legal immigrants are a net boon economically, and they arent mouths you feed, etc, etc. Illegal immigrants likely fall in the same camp, but you will get no argument from me that we need immigration reform to deal with the amount of immigrants living in this country illegally. I agree that those that don't want to integrate culturally & respect our country's founding principles should be subject to having their immigration denied, but i think any sort of policy to do so would be extremely challenging to effectively and fairly implement beyond whats already in place.

#2) yes, it is xenophobic and irrational to be concerned about security from 13000 syrian immigrants already being heavily screened and left in limbo for years prior to immigrating to the us. i'm more concerned about how unsafe it is to drive on the highway than terrorist attacks from heavily screened immigrants. i'm more concerned about being shot by a spouse or someone with a mental illness than a terrorist attack from an immigrant. I do not envy the position of Europe to figure out how to deal with the immigration issues surrounding integration, etc, but the vast majority of immigrants from these war torn regions (which, as you pointed out, often got that way due to our meddling) are good people just looking to find some stability so they can live their lives. Only a small small small percentage are fundamentalist idiots (many of which are young, uneducated, unemployed males).

#3) 1-2% growth with near full employment. again, the issue is the shrinking of the middle class & wage disparity, but from an economic perspective we, as a country, are in good shape.

You would be correct if we were just referring to legal immigration. However we still pay for and provide for illegals as well. People who were not screened. It is not xenophobic whatsoever to want to know who they are.

that is absolutely incorrect. I fear anti-intellectualism. I fear people basing their decisions on emotions and feelings instead of facts and data and rational, critical thinking.

lol that's all democrats/liberals do!

wow

#2) statistical realities related to terrorism attacks or crimes or whatever the hell you're referring to ignore the positive side of the statistical reality (eg that immigrants are a huge boon to our country economically, that our country was built on immigrants, etc, etc), and that the negatives are in reality a miniscule part of our society and only tie back to xenophobic fears, not real, sensible policy solutions

lol you pretty much just described what liberals do with guns

is it xenophobic that saudi arabia/UAE/etc arent allowing fellow muslim "refugees" to enter their borders?

no, it's perfectly sensible

I don't even think it's wrong for the US to consider stopping letting any more Muslims in, given the situation

and as for putting them all on a register, sure why not, as long as you do it quietly (why else spend millions on intelligence services if not to try to stay safe)

I do think a presidential candidate shouting about those things is xenophobic, retarded, and EXTREMELY likely to create more radicalized dudes tho

it's the difference between being realistic and measured in responding to a real threat, vs being a fearmongering idiot who just says whatever he thinks people want to hear and makes both sides hate each other even more
