[Car Prob][Jeep] Oil Sensor knocked off

So i was changing my oil, and knocked off my oil sensor on my 97 Jeep Cherokee. Now it's raining and i have to get back to school.
It looks like it was being held on by a dab of JB weld, which i have at my house at school.
The sensor fits in loosely and falls out while driving obviously, and the oil light comes on.

Am i ok to drive it to my place and fix it later? or is it imperative to fix before operating my car.

its just a sensor to tell you if your oil is low.. as long as no oil is spewing out of its not sucking any air you're fine
 
Yeah, i figured it was just an unecessary sensor for operation, i just wanted to make sure.
Guess i'm heading to school
