The 1600 and 2000 is HyperTransport--it does not make much of an improvement. It's a semi-replacement for the CPU->Northbridge bus. The memory bus is still 200.Atrocious said:what is the bus speed on an A64 754 pin and 939 pin chip? newegg say "integrated into chip". and ive looked on a few other sites and some say 754 is 1600 and 939 is 2000. that seems really fucking fast. im deciding on what to buy and i was just wondering this. anyone know?

but for 939, yes
the 754 pin A64's have only one pipe, the 939's have the dual pipe which was carried over from the 940's
