Going there tonight, any suggestions on food?

I usually stick with the chicken/shrimp combo but I'm looking to try something different tonight. No sushi.
 
ask the chef to make his favorite dish for you. Prepare for a magical evening of knife juggling and smoking onion volcanoes.
 
I prefer sushi to hibachi but the kids like the fire and the show

the few times i do cooked jap I do scallops

Benihana has horrible sushi though
 
benihana's sushi is no good like others have said, id go with the hibachi chicken since you cant really go wrong with that, if your pockets can handle it get the filet/chicken combo... mm
 
Some Benihanas have better sushi than others. Depends on the chef.

You can't go wrong with chicken/shrimp. Sometimes I get the filet but I'm always disappointed. I make the chicken at home all the time sans onion volcanoes and flying zucchini.
 
there is actually a really good jap place here on the island and we will get 10 people around a table, 8 eating Sushi only, and my two kids doing the grilled stuff.

The guy always seems very disappointed that we don't care and cheer after the 100th time.

at least the grill keeps my Sake hot.
 
I tried sushi for the first time and was not impressed. It was very bland in my opinion.

I got one of the more basic options, salmon nigiri.
 
thats true
stay away from the simple things usually. california rolls suck, for instance
get some eel, or a philidelphia roll. Or tempura.
something with fish eggs
