[Battlestar Galactica] Why did Lee Adama get so fat?

Don't you know that it only takes a year for everyone to forget the cylon war, pussy out, and suffer radical character shifts?

for someone who has never watched BSG, is it worth giving a shot? And starting at what season?

Is it something you would have to like things akin to Star Trek in a series to enjoy BSG?

-season 1 + 2 are the best. 3 + 4 are OK and you can watch them if you really like 1+2

-it's a character drama with very little sprinkling of sci-fi mumbo-jumbo. if you didn't like star trek there's no reason to not like bsg
 
He was stuck on the battlestar pegasus between season 2.5 and season 3. This is when he was married to the hot nigger chick and also when he gained a shit ton of fat. Once the pegasus was blown to bits and everyone left new caprica, he magically lost all of his body fat.

btw I honestly could not tell if he was wearing a fat suit or really put on the pounds until he suddenly lost all of it in 2 episodes. The fat suit was really impressive

Watch the miniseries and season 1. It's all downhill from there.
